Study Lab is an elective class that is available for students in grades 6 – 12.  The purpose of Study Lab is to provide a daily opportunity for structured study time and assistance as needed.  Study Lab is offered during designated elective hours during the day and there is an additional charge.

Study Lab participation includes:

• Structured opportunities for the completion of assignments
  Each student is required to document assignments in his/her agenda and review the assignments with the Study Lab teacher.  At times, the teacher may even require that the student obtain a teacher’s initials to verify the assignment.  The grade for this class is partially based on the students’ daily completion of the agenda to encourage the development of organizational skills.
  
• Assistance on assignments as needed
  Each teacher provides assistance, study aids and a review of concepts on an "as needed” basis; however, the structure of the class does not include individual tutoring.
  
• Opportunities for the completion of exams
  Students may use their Study Lab time for completing exams from other classes.  They may compete the exams in the Study Lab classroom or be excused to other teachers’ classrooms.
  
• Limited class size
  Each class is limited to 10 students to allow the Study Lab teacher to provide the needed support and assistance.
