Community Service
Metro Christian Academy strives to develop individual hearts and minds committed to the service of others. Service and philanthropy begins in elementary school, continues through middle school, and becomes a requirement for high school graduation.
Service to the community is a primary component of leadership development and is accomplished in a variety of ways. Service often begins at home and extends into the community. Metro students are encouraged to serve the school through volunteer efforts; serve the community by supporting non-profit organizations and helping those less fortunate; and to serve the church through missions and other outreach opportunities.
Our emphasis on Community Service is intended to instill Christian values and moral character in students by demonstrating our responsibility to uphold Biblical principles - caring for others and sharing our faith through actions and words.
Students have given over 17,000 hours of community service to the needy over the past three years. Students performing Community Service have not only served in the Tulsa area; they have generously served others in communities across the United States, Mexico, Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia.
