Elementary Mission Projects

Teaching children to serve others in love begins as early as preschool at Metro Christian Academy. Preschoolers and other Elementary children visit nursing homes in the Tulsa area at Christmas time, Valentine's Day and Easter to share the good news of Christ with hymns along with memorized scripture verses. The entire Elementary School participates in Operation Christmas Child; a program developed by Franklin Graham designed to deliver shoe boxes of gifts to needy children around the world who may never have heard about Christ’s birth. Throughout the school year, Elementary students adopt missionaries and service men and women and send cards and letters to them. Fifth graders volunteer their time at Restore Hope Ministries. By volunteering in the food pantry, the children aid this special ministry to achieve their mission goal by helping families in crisis and restore them to economic and spiritual vitality.
