High School Mission Trips

In the interest of expanding the knowledge of our students, teachers and school communities, Metro Christian has established an educational partnership with the Senderos de Luz school in  Morazan, Honduras.  Each year, a team of students travels to Honduras over spring break for educational, cultural and evangelical purposes. Prior to arriving in Honduras, the team works with the administrator of Senderos De Luz to develop a plan to serve and minister to the students and families within the school and community.

The students also take advantage of the many mission opportunities within the local community.  Students, working in small groups, will provide support to such organizations as Habitat for Humanity, John 3:16, the Food Bank, as well as working with elementary students in the area public schools.  Missions work within the public schools includes providing food and other supplies to be used by the families and teachers, attending classes as mentors and teaching aids, and hosting celebrations for the students.

At Metro Christian, students are encouraged to live their faith through actions as well as words.  Students are asked to be a light within the world, sharing the work and blessings with others.
