
Speech, Debate, & Drama
Speech and Drama cover a range of platforms. Areas of study include voice, acting, study of movement, characterization, improvisation, theatrical conventions, theatrical production, dramatic and literary genres, as well as careers in theatre.
The Theatre Arts department produces a major all - school musical each spring, incorporating students of all ages, often involving as many as 100 students. The entire production is done by students; including cast and crew (stage management, sound, lighting, and videography technicians). Past productions include The Sound of Music, The King and I, Wizard of Oz, The Music Man, as well as Bye Bye Birdie, Seussical the Musical, Beauty and The Beast, and AIDA.
