Visual Arts Programs
High School Art students study drawing, painting, ceramics, design, photography, and sculpture. For advanced art students, MCA offers AP Studio Art, where students produce college level works that are nationally adjudicated. MCA's student artwork has been exhibited in the U.S. Capitol, Gilcrease Museum, and local coffee houses as well as many high school events statewide.
Middle School Art explores a wide variety of mediums that incorporate art history and fundamental art concepts. Students participate in local, state and national competitions, as well as participating in ArtStamps, a program that encourages creativity while raising funds for our school that benefit kids..
Elementary students participate in art beginning in pre-school through 5th grade. The elementary program includes participation in Artsonia, the world's largest kids museum, and sets the foundation for the secondary visual art programs.
