Metro Christian Academy was founded in 1983 by a group of parents and educators who had a desire and a direction to create a non-denominational school focused on Christian values. This new school would prepare, educate, and train-up students physically, academically, and spiritually in a Christian environment with Christian teachers.
Metro opened with 490 students from Kindergarten through the 12th grades and today educates over 1000 P-3 through twelfth grade students in the former Charles Mason High School building. Since the inception of Metro Christian Academy, the building and grounds have transformed to accommodate the needs of a college preparatory school.

The Future:
In September 2007, we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the opening of Metro Christian Academy. We have come a long way as a school since first opening our doors in the old Mason High School building in 1983.
In 2006, approximately 40 members of the Metro Christian Academy community formed a task force to create a blueprint for the school’s future. The task force developed a strategic plan that outlined and documented the school’s current and future needs.
One of the outcomes of the strategic plan was a Master Site Plan that outlined the school’s capital needs for the foreseeable future. During this master planning process, several capital needs were identified and some preliminary architectural site plans were constructed. This master plan identified priorities that must be addressed to ensure that Metro Christian Academy can remain faithful to its mission and provide the highest quality educational experience to the students enrolled at our school.
