At Metro Christian Academy, we take learning seriously from elementary through high school graduation. Our educational standards are clearly articulated and aligned, both horizontally and vertically. This ensures that every student receives a consistent education in every classroom, regardless of instructor. Learning objectives flow seamlessly from introductory through mastery, with each course building upon the work of the previous year’s study without duplication or inconsistency.
High school scholars are challenged whether they’re enrolled in On-Level, Honors, Advanced Placement or Dual Credit courses. Dual Credit courses are taught on campus and college credit is earned through Colorado Christian University. Experiential learning opportunities abound in and out of the classroom. The new high school internship program takes learning beyond MCA and allows students to interface with area professionals in a number of industries.
Class sizes are small with certified teachers who are passionate about developing and empowering student to stay challenged, motivated, and remain on track. If needed, individual support is available through after school help or specialized class placement. High school course offerings include mathematics, language arts, science, history/social studies, foreign language, Bible, STEM, leadership development, yearbook, and fine arts selections.
Year after year, numerous Metro graduates receive National Merit titles, including National Merit Scholars, National Merit Commendation, and National Merit Scholarships. Millions of dollars are awarded in academic, athletic, fine arts, and leadership scholarships to graduating classes annually. Metro alumni attend and are accepted to such universities as Air Force Academy, Auburn University, Baylor University, Carnegie Mellon University, Colorado School of Mines, Dartmouth, Drake, John Brown University, John Hopkins University, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Pepperdine, Texas Christian University, Texas Tech University, Oklahoma Baptist University, Oklahoma State University, Oral Roberts University, United States Marine Corps, University of Oklahoma, University of Northern Colorado, University of Tulsa, and Vanderbilt University.
