Metro Christian Academy's Remote page was developed to help provide Metro families with up-to-date information and viable resources for our school community. Updates from Metro can be expected frequently - so check back often.

Dear Faculty, Families, and Friends of Metro Christian Academy:

Thanks for all that you’ve done - and, the spirit with which you’ve been doing it - during our Remote Learning Protocol. I have been humbled and heartened by God’s people doing God’s work in God’s way. Thank you!

As much as we’ve been committed to a Return to Learn protocol (“as much as possible” and “as soon as possible”), due to recent data, dates, and directives from civic and health authorities, we will be amending the school calendar, as follows:

Remote Learning Protocol instruction will continue through May 8 for P3 thru 12th grades.

During the week of May 11 - 15 (via remote).

  • HS will be taking final exams, submitting final projects, and making-up any back-work.
  • MS will be making-up any back-work.
  • ES will be teachers only.

On Sunday, May 3, principals will be communicating the following (in Weekly Happenings).

  • End-of-year recognitions, certificates, report cards, transcripts, etc.
  • Pick-up and drop-off materials logistics.
  • Trips.
  • Washington D.C. is postponed until September 7-11.
  • New Zealand is postponed a year.
  • Ireland is postponed a year.
  • We are waiting to hear from the OSSAA re: athletics.
  • Banquets and recognitions.
  • Fine arts on Tuesday, July 7.
  • Sports on Thursday, July 9.
  • StuCo on Monday, July 13.
  • Prom will be on Friday, July 10.
  • Class of 2020….We’re eager to honor you and your familiesin person, Lord willing!
  • Baccalaureate will be at Metro on Sunday, July 12 from 2-4pm. (Seniors will arrive at 1pm.)
  • Commencement will be at Asbury on Friday, July 17 at 7pm. (Seniors will have lunch and rehearsal from 12pm-3pm.)

And - as we’ve all become increasingly accustomed to, all of the above is subject to amendment and/or to appropriate precautionary measures.

We so look forward to moving forward. The best is yet to come!

Grateful to be serving together,

Keith A. Currivean, Ph.D.
